Spiritual distress is often experienced by patients being treated for serious illness. It can manifest itself in several different ways for many different patients based on diagnoses, age, spiritual, religious or cultural beliefs, customs, etc. This module defines spiritual distress, spiritual well-being, spiritual growth, and the way those manifest in the clinical setting.
